North Yorkshire Moors Railway

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is the most popular heritage railway in the country. In 2003, 2004 and 2005 is has repeatedly boke the passenger records, carrying over 306,000 passengers in 2005.

It is one of the oldest railways in the country, and is set in one of the most beautiful parts of the country - the North York Moors national Park. It is also one of the longest railways in steam preservation, and definitely the most demanding on both the locomotives and their crews.

What is NYMR.org.uk?

This site is aimed at helping the railway and staff (paid and volunteer) to operate on a day-to-day basis.

If you are not currently a working member of the railway, but would like to help the railway then you need to take a look at the recruitment page.

What is this site?

This site is NOT here to extoll the virtues of the NYMR. There are already many sites out there that do an excelent job. There's even a web site singing the praises of diesels that call the NYMR their home.

This site is aimed at providing a more accessible and hopefully easier way to manage the rosters for departments involved in running the railway.

There is also the potential to use this site as a library of documents usefull for the railway's staff.
